Made traditionally with wood and natural fiber, this brush provides a zero-waste alternative to synthetic brushes that damage the environment. Wood’s natural antibacterial properties make it safer to use than plastic and because it is biodegradable, you can rest assured that at the end of its life your brush will go back into the earth.
Iris Hantverk has been making natural fiber and wood brushes since the late 19th century. Their brushes are handcrafted by visually impaired artisans in the tradition of Swedish brush binding.
This dish brush will age well if cared for. Allow to dry with bristles downward and treat as needed with mineral oil.

Thank you for your review Maria. And to answer your question, you absolutely can! :)
Fell in love with this brush. Head fell off after a year+. Tried a few other brands and there is no comparison of quality. The bristles are a perfect spacing and softness. It’s weird to say, but I will never go back
Beautiful craftsmanship! I ordered this brush in November and it is still going strong! Iris Hantverk's website says their brushes last about a year, but having had this one 8 months already, I believe it'll last a good while longer. You do have to care for them though. I soak in vinegar water, dry out completely, then apply mineral oil once a month to keep my Iris Hantverk brushes looking beautiful, smelling fresh, and to keep them from drying out. I place them on a towel, bristles down, and let them dry after each use as well. I did have to reglue the handle to the head after a few months of use, but that's to be expected with the amount of water I've subjected it to. I love that it's aesthetically pleasing, sustainably and ethically made by hand, and is fully compostable. I also love the shape of the head. With the flat end it allows you to completely scrub the bottom of the glass or bottle. I would 100% recommend if you're willing to take care of it, and to me the care required is completely worth it.
